The lines told the story. The blue and green lines moved congruently. Only when John spoke to the Republican base did the red line rise and stay steady. Other than that, his rambling statements drew nothing. All three lines would suddenly go flat when Barack stopped talking and John started talking.
Reward people who succeed, John McCain? Do you mean Wall Street and their CEOs?
Obama countered with what about Main Street?" Where you and I live1 Pointed out McCain said the fundamentals of the economy were sound a few weeks prior.
John McCain was only speaking to people who make over $250,000 a year.
Then John began to lie.
Obama said he would be investing in energy because it would bring jobs and cut our dependence on foriegn oil.
Then John said something like a spending freeze. Obama said he would stop that bleed called Iraq war.
After john's insults about what Barack knows and doesn't know about military terms Barack said John gave a blank check to the president and didn't make a way to give the troops any of the money. Their own tax dollar.
Barack talked of de-occupying Iraq and John said it would be dangerous. So in other-words, the Republicans have gotten us in a war-like situation that we cannot get out of because it is dangerous. The Republicans did this. This is why we have to borrow $700 billion in the first place.
Then John said, blah, blah, blah, blah. And Blah. HE's NOT EVEN IN THE MILITARY ANYMORE. NO ONE CARES ABOUT WHAT HE WOULD DO IF HE WAS THERE. HE IS NOT THERE.
Other people's kids and dads and moms are there. And we need a plan that is not dangerous that can bring these families back together.
John talked about how many junkets he took overseas to looky-loo. Barack had a plan to eliminate the U.S.A.'s problems.
It's a debate, don't insult the person, challenge your opponents position on the issue, John McCain.
Barack is holding back his ideas, why??? So President Bush and the Republicans take ownership and use to turn the economy around!!!!!
John started lying and putting words in Barack's mouth soon after.
Barack picked up all three lines during his response to the question about Russia, effectively winning the debate.
John effectively lost the debate at this point. He lost all three lines during his response.
