After most of the previous 12 months covering Barack Obama's campaign for the presidency, it was interesting, instructive and, well, relaxing to follow John McCain for the last few days. The differences between the two are striking.

"Funniest Web comments ever"
I think Obama has good reason to not print these schedules and people have to wait for him because if not, there would be greater risks from someone to try and assassinate him. Unfortunately, there are still bigots and haters out there who want to see him dead just because of his skin color. What a shame! And the author of this article wants to put the blame back on Obama for this? Can you blame the man for wanting to avoid the crazy people who want to take him down?

It''s no wonder the airplane is smelly. It has people like you on it who haven''t washed their *** in days. You have the nerve to make a comment like that. What are you doing to remedy the problem? Go clean it up buster! While you''re at it wash your stinky ***.

Remember when reporters covered the news?
You know, they went to a newsworthy event, covered it, and then filed their stories?
This jackhole is complaining that his steak tartar is poorly prepared, and that his ride on the candidate''s plane leaves on the candidate''s schedule and not on his own.
If he needs more time and a better smelling plane, why doesn''t he fly commercial to these events?

Have you given any thought to the idea that Obama may not want to print out schedules when he as daily death threats? Please think before you write and put another''s life at risk for your own convenience.

And go here:
This morning, CBSnews.com posted a shocking first-person account of what it's like to travel with the Obama campaign, written by CBS' own Dean Reynolds. Reynolds points out what he calls the "striking" differences between how the Obama and McCain camps each treat the press corps. The Obama people are disorganized, unfriendly and fail to print the candidate's schedule in a satisfactory manner. Also, the plane smells.

The Rubes who comment on I-Report
Some of the comments I have received on my i-Reports have been downright mean and somewhat racist. It seems because I am black and will vote for Sen. Barack Obama, I am racist in action, stupid, uneducated, biased (against whom, I don't know) and need to get a life.
Hell, I am unemployed so I might have a bit of free time when the kids are in school.
What I find shocking is the tone--which is highly insulting--all because Sen. John McCain is losing.
Whose fault is it that McCain is losing and that I and several others are pointing it out?
The gall is unbelievable.
Not every comment is laced with stupidity and those posts inspire some posters who are obviously educated and refined to engage in conversations that are productive but overall, they are uneducated, unrefined-to-the-point-of-rube-ish-ness, racist, Neoconservative, comments. I don't ever want to meet some of these people because they would get the cussing of their lives!

Sushi dinner for the kids and I
I went to the bookstore this weekend to get my son some reading materials for class. There I saw a kit on sushi. We hunted down the needed materials and today had sushi for dinner.
The children loved it and I loved it because it was healthy and I didn't have to convince them to eat it.
It was fun to make too.
There is the seaweed wrap called nori ($1.98 at Super Wal-Mart) and then sticky rice or round grain rice (I made rice the regular way that I do it and it was sticky enough)and used tuna and other items like salad shrimp ($2), left-over $2 steak, onion, mushroom and bell pepper. It was really fun and it was nice to see the children eat without being coerced.
Now if someone can fix my Grind & Brew, I'll stop hand-wringing and fussing.
update: The Grind & Brew seems to be working fine.

It seems the more right-wing you are the more terroristic sayings you are apt to utter. Financial terrorism from so-called Americans.
People are really struggling and hurting and a person actually writes this type of stuff. I guess the poor don't deserve help or a vote according to these people. God help them. In Indiana, ex-offenders have the right to vote.
Vote Obama.

Heirlooms, gold teeth --- desperate people sell it all
Low pay doesn't go very farDavid Goldmacher of Longwood listed his signed Denver Broncos helmet and Pachinko pinball machine to pay for his diabetes, heart and blood-pressure medication and medicine for his wife's injured back. Goldmacher, 42, lost his job as a state corrections officer in June. Although he was recently hired as a bus driver...
